1. Click Candidate Summary on the left menu bar of any screen. The Candidate Summary screen opens.
2. Click the hyperlink at the top of the screen: Continuing Education. The Candidate Continuing Education popup appears.
3. Click the down arrow at the end of the Program field and select the program you want to enter a claim for.
4. Enter [the name of the course you took] in the Course Title field in the Add New Claim section.
5. Enter [a description of the course you took] in the Course Description: field.
6. Enter [the start date of the course] in the Start Date field.
7. Enter [the end date of the course] in the End Date field.
8. Enter [the name of the college or institution] in the College/Institution Name field.
9. Enter [the name of the instructor or contact] in the Instructor/Contact Name field.
10. Enter [the phone number of the instructor or contact] in the Instructor/Contact Phone field.
11. Click the down arrow at the end of the Session Type field and select the correct designation of the length of the course that you took.
12. Click the down arrow at the end of the Requirement Area field and select the name of the requirement that the course you took fulfills.
If you want to attach files in support of your
claim follow the next steps. If you do not want to attach files, go to
Step 18.
13. Click the Attach Files icon. The Attach File popup opens.
14. Click Browse and follow standard Windows procedure to select the relevant file.
15. Enter [a description of the file] in the Description field.
16. Click Upload File. The Attach File Successful popup appears.

Successful popup. You can attach more files by clicking Attach
Files or you can click View Attached Files to see what you have
already attached.
Note
that when viewing files that you have already attached, any changes you make to
the attached file will not be saved in the system (even if a Windows message
tells you the changes are saved). You will need to upload a new
file with the changes.
17. Click Close Window. The Claim History screen is in focus.
18. Click Submit Claim. The screen changes to display your entry.
After you
claim has been reviewed, you can see the status of your claim by clicking the
Candidate Summary screen in the left menu bar and clicking Continuing
Education. See How to View the Status of

19. Click the X in the right corner of the popup to close this screen. The Candidate Summary screen is in focus now.
