Start on the CM&AS Login screen.
1. Click the Forgot Password? hyperlink. The CM&AS Login/Sign-in Problems screen appears.
2. Enter [the user name you established during your first login or account creation] in the User Name field.
3. Click [the relevant type of account for you: Candidate, Client or Proctor] in the buttons below the Select your account type field.
4. Click Submit. The Confirm Your Identity section appears. The question you established for password recovery during account creation appears.
5. Enter [the answer you established for password recovery during your first login or account creation] in the Answer field.
6. Click Submit. A message appears telling you a temporary password has been sent to your email address—and that the temporary password will expire in three days. The message also tells you how to contact CPS if you need to.
7. Leave the CPS screen open; do not close the screen.
8. Go to your e-mail account.
9. Open the e-mail from CPS.
10. Copy or note the Password in the message.
Be sure to note the password exactly.
11. Return to the CPS screen. The CM&AS Login/Sign-in Problems screen should be in focus.
12. Click CM&AS Home in the left menu bar. The CM&AS Home screen appears.
13. Click Click here to login. The CM&AS Login screen opens.
14. Enter [your user name] in the User Name field.
15. Enter [the recovery password you were sent in e-mail] in the Password field.
16. Click Log In. The Change Password screen appears.
17. Enter [the recovery password you were sent in e-mail] in the Enter Current Password field.
18. Enter [whatever new password you would like to use –9 characters, at least one of which must be a number or one must be a letter] in the New Password field.
19. Enter [the new password again] in the Confirm New Password field.
20. Click Change Password. The Change Password Recovery Question and Answer screen appears with a message that you have successfully changed your password.
21. Do either a or b below:
a.
Enter [a new password recovery question] in the Password Recovery
Question field.
Enter [any answer to the recovery question] in the
Password Recovery Answer field.
Click Save Password Recovery
Question & Answer.
b. Click Save Password Recovery Question & Answer to save old question and answer.
22. You are logged in.
